How I work

Senior judgement, analyst depth, weeks not months.

Every engagement is led by me personally. Behind me is a research and reporting practice built on AI tooling I have developed since 2024. Licensor benchmarks, term-sheet comparisons, financial head-to-heads and negotiation briefs are produced in days, reviewed by someone who has signed the real thing, and delivered as dated, referenced documents you can put in front of a board or a lender.

In a recent four-month engagement for a US$5 bn greenfield petrochemicals project, that meant 25 deliverables, from licensor RFIs to a financing-ready technology and feedstock case.

General notes

  1. All engagements are led personally by the Managing Partner.
  2. Deliverables are dated and referenced documents: licensor RFIs and head-to-head comparisons; licence, engineering and feedstock term-sheet reviews; negotiation briefs with positions, fall-backs and precedents; commercial and sales-organisation sizing models.
  3. Client identities are never disclosed. Transaction values are shown only where already public.
  4. Correspondence is treated as confidential; a non-disclosure agreement is signed before any material changes hands.

The founder

I have run the businesses I now advise.

Twenty years in polyolefins and specialty polymers at SABIC, SIBUR and TotalEnergies: as a $13.5 bn P&L division head, as the negotiator of the joint ventures that gave SABIC metallocene polyethylene, polyols and carbon fibre, and as the strategist behind a $20 bn investment portfolio.

I founded Chem Reset in 2023 to offer that experience directly: to executives building world-scale projects, to boards weighing a partnership, and to investment committees deciding on a chemicals asset. PhD in chemical engineering; Handelsblatt-Stratley Best Young Executive in the Chemical Industry, 2012.

A project, a partner or an asset to decide on.

Enquiries go to me directly and are treated as confidential.
