I spent twenty years inside the chemicals industry before I started advising it. I ran a $13.5 bn P&L division at SABIC, steered a $20 bn investment portfolio at SIBUR, and negotiated the joint ventures that took SABIC from a commodity producer into metallocene polyethylene, polyols, isocyanates and carbon fibre.

I am Belgian, trained as a chemical engineer (a PhD in catalysis from UCLouvain, with sixteen peer-reviewed papers before I left research), and I have lived and worked in Belgium, France, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Russia and, since 2023, Dubai. My career has run through the three things a chemicals business is made of: technology, capital and organisation.

At TotalEnergies I learned the assets: polyethylene product development, then the strategic planning of a 27-asset global polyolefins portfolio. At SABIC I built the Performance Chemicals strategy department from scratch and drove the $10 bn diversification programme that brought in eleven partners and more than twenty technologies; led technology and innovation for Polymers (400 scientists, seven R&D centres); ran the programme office for both of SABIC's global reorganisations; and as Vice President led Performance Polymers & Industry Solutions: six business units, 930 people, $13.5 bn of revenue.

At SIBUR, from 2020 to 2023, I directed strategy and business development for a portfolio of 30 to 40 projects, acquired and integrated a $4 bn petrochemical asset portfolio, and originated the joint ventures with national oil companies in Central Asia, the Caspian and the Gulf that appear on my transaction map.

I founded Chem Reset in 2023 to bring that experience to bear directly: for industrial groups developing world-scale projects, for boards weighing a partnership, and for private-equity investment committees deciding on a chemicals asset. Since 2025 I am also Chief Executive and board member of Voltcore, an advanced-materials scale-up in Luxembourg, which keeps me on the operating side of technology commercialisation and fundraising.

I work in English and French, from Dubai, and I lead every engagement myself.
